Tell one tell all

We are approved! Our profile went live today on www.itsaboutlove.org. Thank you all for all your support so far. Now comes the difficult part: WAITING.

What does being approved mean? It means that we have passed the home study and we are eligible to adopt a child and in our case we are hoping to adopt an infant. When going through LDS Family Services, once you are approved they post your profile, on their website and your profile is available to be shown to anyone considering adoption for their child through LDS Family Services.

Now that our profile is live, it means we wait for a birthmother and father to pick us to be their child’s parents. We have been asked several times this question, “What is the average wait to be selected?” Since we are waiting to be picked, it is a tricky question to answer. The average wait is 1-2 years but some are picked within weeks of their profile being activated while others have waited for 5+ years.

This is where your help comes in; the more people that know that we are adopting the sooner we may be able to become parents. If you are a blogger, please add our button to your blog. If you know of someone who is considering adoption, please pass on our information, send them to our blog or our profile. Even if you don’t know of anyone keeping us in your prayers would help us immensely.

We want to thank you all for your support in helping us find our children. Our hearts are full and we are excited for what the future holds.
